Supplies obtained by contracts are specific for hospice use and cannot be used for retail or other sales. The HPG mission includes having Hospice recognized as a legitimate and expanding segment of the healthcare market and attaining the benefits afforded to hospitals and long term care. Hospice organizations are encouraged to join Hospice Provider Group, Inc. Hospices should request that their contracted suppliers become members of HPG. This will ensure that those hospices can take advantage of the benefits of group purchasing while demonstrating that they are a force within healthcare in combination with HPG and their pharmacy provider.
